Privacy & cookie policy

Effective October 24, 2026. This policy explains what information we collect through thelemarcogroup.com, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have, including under California law.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by The LeMarco Group (“TLG,” “we,” “us”), an entertainment and production company headquartered at Shibuya Scramble Square 39F, 2-24-12 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0002, Japan, with offices in Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles. This policy applies to thelemarcogroup.com (the “Site”). It does not cover information we receive offline or through separate agreements with clients and partners, which are governed by those agreements.

2. Information we collect

Information you send us

The Site has no forms or accounts. If you contact us by email using the links on the Site, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, company, and the content of your message and any attachments (for example, scripts, budgets or reels).

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical information that browsers send to any website: your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose technical problems.

Content loaded from third parties

To display the Site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC) and some images from Unsplash. When it does, those providers receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies. We do not use them to track you, and we do not receive personal information about you from them.

What we do not collect

We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, social media tracking pixels or session-recording tools on the Site. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. The Site uses only essential technologies:

  • Hosting and security cookies. Our hosting platform, Wix.com, may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver pages, balance traffic and protect the Site from abuse. These are required for the Site to function and are not used for advertising.
  • Cookie notice preference. When you dismiss our cookie notice, we store a small value in your browser’s local storage so the notice does not appear again. It contains no personal information and is never sent to us.

We do not use advertising, analytics, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site works.

4. How we use information

We use the information described above to respond to your inquiries; evaluate and carry out potential projects, productions and financing engagements; operate, secure and improve the Site; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. How we disclose information

We disclose personal information only:

  • to service providers that host the Site and our email, and that process information on our behalf under contract;
  • within The LeMarco Group’s offices, where needed to respond to you or carry out your request;
  • when required by law, legal process or a government request, or to protect our rights, users or others; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

6. Third-party tracking over time

We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites through the Site. The hosting, font and image providers named above receive the technical information described in Section 2 solely to deliver their services.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because the Site does not track visitors over time or across third-party websites, we treat every visitor the same way whether or not a Do Not Track signal is sent.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser signal that asks a website not to sell or share your personal information. We already do not sell or share personal information. If our practices change, we will treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing.

8. How long we keep information

We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting relationship, and afterward as required for legal, accounting or record-keeping purposes. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for limited periods under its own retention practices.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive information to us by email.

10. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights.

Reviewing and correcting information

Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act, you may contact us to review personal information you have provided to us through the Site and to ask us to correct or delete it.

Rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to us, you have the right to:

  • know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it;
  • request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share);
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site); and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected through the Site are identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address), professional information you choose to send us, and internet or other electronic network activity information (such as browser and page-request data). We collected this from you directly and from your browser, for the purposes described in Section 4, and disclosed it only as described in Section 5.

Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets California residents ask whether we have disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

How to make a request

Email info@thelemarcogroup.com with the subject line “California privacy request” and tell us which right you wish to exercise. We will need to verify your identity, usually by confirming information we already hold, before acting on a request to know, delete or correct. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly. We will respond within the time required by law.

11. Children

The Site is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International visitors and transfers

We are headquartered in Japan and operate in Hong Kong and the United States. Information you send us may be processed in any of these countries, which may have data protection laws different from those where you live. We take steps to protect information wherever it is processed.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If we make material changes, such as beginning to use analytics or advertising cookies, we will update our cookie notice before those changes take effect.
